Dr. Sudipto Roy

Dr. Sudipto Roy has been working in the field of public health for the past 15 years with experience in clinical research, surveillance and program management. He is a medical doctor with an M.D. in Community Medicine and a PhD in Global Health from the University of Edinburgh. He works as Scientist E at the Clinical Studies and Trials Unit (CSTU), Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi. As part of the CSTU, Dr. Sudipto has been integral in the establishment of the ‘Indian Clinical Trial and Education Network (INTENT)’, a network of 75 medical colleges and research institutes in India, with an overarching goal of providing evidence-based solutions to health issues of national priorities by conducting large, decisive, regulation compliant clinical trials. Dr. Sudipto is currently engaged in design and management of regulatory clinical trials/clinical investigations for drugs/devices/vaccines/biologics developed or co-developed with academia, start-ups or industry. Dr. Sudipto also holds the position of Associate Professor (Honorary) in the Faculty of Medical Research, Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), wherein he supervises PhD students.
