Dr. Mayank Gangwar
Dr. Gangwar is currently serving as Scientist-D in Clinical Studies and Trials Unit (INTENT), Division of Development Research, ICMR, Headquarters, New Delhi. His extraordinary research odyssey commenced in 2011 where he embarked on a relentless pursuit of understanding infectious microorganisms during doctoral studies. With an unwavering passion for science, he not only mastered the intricacies of molecular assays but also showcased his brilliance on national and international scientific stages through impactful presentations. His academic journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment, culminating in a Doctorate in Pharmacology from Banaras Hindu University, complemented by a Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacology. Beyond academia, his imprint on the scientific community is indelible. His prolific contributions to research are encapsulated in over 50 publications, one book with Springer bearing witness to his profound influence with an impressive citation count of 1590, an h-index of 21, and an i10-index of 40. Recognition have been his companions, with the CSIR-Direct SRF, DBT and ICMR International Travel Grant among his crowning achievements. He served 5 years as Scientist in VRDL, IMS, BHU towards research management and quality standards, augmented by ISO and NABL accreditation training. His impact extends beyond the laboratory, as he has contributed as a board editor and held editorial roles in esteemed national and international journals, including a tenure as a Research Topic Editor in the Frontiers in Pharmacology journal. Additionally, his commitment to excellence is underscored by his certification as a Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of Lucknow, India. Currently, Dr. Gangwar is engaged in planning, managing, and executing clinical trials related to medical devices and therapeutics at INTENT, ICMR.
